Hayling Island Sailing Club

Hayling Island Sailing Club (HISC) was founded in 1921 by a group of sailing enthusiasts, with its first clubhouse located in a fisherman’s cottage near Salterns Quay. By 1936, the club had moved to its current site at Sandy Point, offering ideal access to Chichester Harbour and the sea. Over the years, HISC has grown into a prominent centre for dinghy sailing, hosting major national and international events. A major milestone was reached in 2003 with the opening of a modern, lottery-funded clubhouse by HRH Princess Royal. Funds were raised through our 2025 share offer and installation will start in October 2025.
