What is Future Energy Landscapes
With support from East Hampshire District Council, Winchester City Council and South Downs National Park Authority, our Future Energy Landscapes project has delivered over 25 community workshops, reaching more than 500 residents across the South Downs and surrounding areas. Using a tried and tested model from Centre for Sustainable Energy, the workshops aim to discover the types and scale of renewable energy that could meet the needs of local people. Drawing on data and research attendees explore what might be feasible and create space for an informed, balanced conversation about what communities feel is acceptable.
Many thanks to Stu Mills, Project Manager at WiNACC, for his invaluable support of ESD and his inspiring role as one of the facilitators for FEL.
We need your views
After each workshop we create a report detailing what was discussed to share with the wider community. Please read the report for your local area and participate in our 5-minute survey on renewable energy in your area. Your insights are crucial for creating sustainable solutions that benefit everyone.
Why Take the Survey?
- Impact: Your feedback will guide local renewable energy projects and policies.
- Community: Join fellow residents in shaping a cleaner, healthier environment.
- Future: Contribute to a sustainable future for generations to come.
Let’s power up our communities with renewable energy!
